Well, in order to describe the MT2 SS, we first have to go back to the MT2 RTR. When I first started the design of the MT2 I wanted to improve the quality and strength of the truck. As I progressed further we developed the suspension to improve the handling characteristics and make sure the truck could perform well in all situations. When it came to designing the SS kit I wanted to take it even a step further. I wanted to make a truck that could compete at the race track.

The Nitro Star 18SS is a powerhouse of an engine. This thing is screaming fast and sends massive torque and power to the drivetrain. Combine that with hardened metal cut gears and innovative Outdrive Cups, and you’ll be causing dust storms on the track. Leave the competition wiping their eyes as you fly past them. The 18SS engine provides ample power, almost too much. We had to strengthen the entire drive train with stronger materials to ensure that the truck would not break during normal running conditions. Several of our best option parts were selected to improve the overall quality of the truck, and the gearing was changed to better match the engine. Overall this truck is incredibly fast and agile.

The drivetrain has been upgraded throughout. From the brand new Universal Joints, to heavy duty drive cups and shafts, the power will get from the engine to the ground with little resistance.
These things are awesome! Completely designed for the hardcore racer in mind. These joints features an aluminum sleeve that covers the pin. You'll have no problem keeping these intact through whatever track condition you encounter.

This kit is built to handle the extreme speed of the Nitro Star Outlaw 18SS engine and it does it with finesse and intensity. Keep in mind that the previous version was already a great machine.
