HPI Racing and Optifuel have teamed up with the excellent Coventry Model Car Club in Baginton to sponsor the very popular Midland Astroturf Masters Series (M.A.M.) The M.A.M. series caters for 1/8th Rallycross Nitro Buggies and 1-8th Nitro Truggies racing on the all season Astroturf track with a mixture of fast/slow/technical sections with enough jumps to test your skill level. There is a wealth of experience within the club and we encourage drivers with any ability to attend and we guarantee you will learn from the Pro's in attendance.
The series consists of 6 meetings all on Sundays. Round 1 was on the 10th October, Round 2 was on 7th November 2010 and the remaining rounds are: 5th December 2010, 9th January 2011, 6th February 2011 and finally 6th March 2011. You need to compete in 5 meetings to count for the championship. Entries are limited to just 88 drivers per meeting! Race Fees are £6 for members per meeting and £10 for non members per meeting. OPTIFUEL are providing some serious prizes for the M.A.M. series. Top 3 drivers at each round in every final will receive a bottle of 25% RACE fuel (2.5Ltr bottle). The top 3 juniors at each round in both classes will also get a bottle of 25% RACE fuel. There will be After Run Oil and Air Filter Oil prizes aswell as stickers for the extra bit of bling! The Coventry track is available every day of the week (if no racing scheduled) but you do have to join the club. With prices only being £10 for Juniors and £25 for Adults this is a great way to get some extra practice in!
