Recently, HPI Europe had the opportunity to attend the annual Goodwood Festival of Speed, a hillclimb featuring some of the most historic pieces of classic motorsport history, famous racing names from decades, celebrities and dozens of manufacturers and race teams. It's also a fantastic opportunity to see famous cars driven by names such as Prost, Senna, Schumacher, Moss, Hill, Bell, Hamilton and many others, plus a great way to actually see and meet some of these famous names!
For HPI die-cast, it was a can't-miss chance to get our precision cast models in front of the public, and give people the opportunity to see up close what makes HPI models so appealing and compare them side-by-side with the offerings from other manufacturers. Every available HPI die-cast model and set was available for purchase, and many customer took the opportunity to stock up!
In addition to the die-cast models on display at the HPI tent, the hill climb and rally stage areas featured some of the actual full-size cars that we offer in 1/43 scale! Cars such as the #2 Porsche 962, Lancia 037 (in Safari Rally trim), Lancia Stratos, Sauber-Mercedes C9, all-new Nissan GT-R and others were on display and running at nearly full speed up the hill, making for an amazing weekend and a wonderful backdrop for any fan of motorsport. If you get a chance to visit, you can't pass up the Goodwood Festival of Speed next summer! We will definitely be there!
