At last weekend's Lone Star Challenge in Austin, Texas, Ty Tessmann stormed the A-Mains in nitro buggy, nitro truggy and electric buggy!
The race was held at the Thornhill Racing Circuit just outside of Austin, Texas, which bills itself as the largest 1/8th off-road track in the US - with Austin being the state capital of Texas, that's really saying something! Designed by Joey 'the Dirt' Christensen and future home of the ROAR Gas Nationals, this race was the de facto warm-up race for the biggest single off-road event in the US this year! It's also one of the many stops of the 2014 USPro Cup series, so the weekend would give very useful tuning and setup info to the racers in attendance.
Ty battled with current and former World Champions on the track, taking second in Nitro Buggy with his D812. In Electric Buggy, Ty ran his D812 with it Tekno electric conversion to take the win in the 10-minute final race. The D8T 'Tessmann Edition' was his weapon of choice in the Nitro Truggy race, and the formidable truck and Ty's racing skills led to the win in the 30-minute A-main.
2 out of 3 ain't bad! Congratulations to Team Tessmann for a great weekend all around!

This provides a great backdrop to the upcoming ROAR Gas Nationals, which will be at the same track soon!
