BRCA National round 4 – Aldershot The fourth round of the 2011 BRCA touring car series saw 140 drivers travel to the Aldershot Model car club for what turned out to be a mostly dry weekend of racing. With Andy Moore having won the previous 2 rounds of the championship he was in a strong position to wrap up the title with another win here, but due to other racing commitments in the weeks leading up to the race he wasn't able to get any testing time in and knew he would be up against it.
Qualifying for Andy was a case of playing catch up to the other top runners who had spent several weekends at the track fine tuning their setups, but he was able to line up 4th behind Worlds podium finisher Elliot Harper, 2010 UK champ Chris Grainger and Chris Kerswell. As the mains rolled round on the Sunday Andy had dialed in his TCX and was able to make a charge to the front in the first 2 A mains to take the meeting and with it the 2011 BRCA National Championship title !!
