Team Orion

The show booth for Team Orion was right next to the HPI Racing booth. A new AC/DC charger, new transmitter NiCads, budget modified motors, modified commutator lathe, and other items got the attention of many racers. Daren Westman and his wife were there, describing the new items and passing out catalogs. Team Orion owner Philippe Neidhart and battery master Nano were also on hand to talk to the show visitors. Nano is Team Orion's expert on batteries and answered many questions about Team Orion batteries and the Lavco matching process!

Team Orion had many racers interested in the painted bodies by Thunder. That's right, Team Orion will soon be selling prepainted bodies! Thunder already paints several pro driver's bodies - you've seen them in the magazines, but just didn't know it was his paint job! The new Pilot motors got some attention from the magazines for the fact that they are available for a list price of $20! Available in 11, 13, 15, 23 and 27 turns and double wind, these motors will let beginners experience the thrill of speed for less impact on their wallet. New transmitter battery packs in 1100 and 1500 Mah will let racers (especially nitro racers) run forever on one charge. A new modifed comm lathe was also shown, as well as new motor brushes with a wear indicator molded into them! Also shown were the complete selection of Team Orion's other motor brushes, stock and modified motors, championship-winning batteries, and accessories.
