Over the weekend of October 5-6, 2002, over 200 exhibitors showcased their off-road products for a crowd of thousands of truck enthusiasts at the Off Road Expo held at the Fairplex in Pomona, California!

HPI marketing team members Scott Roberts and Andrew Hilman displayed the Savage 21 and the Nitro RS4 RTR 3 in the Yokohama Tire booth to crowds of eager off-road truck fans! Yokohama's Bob Macias and Tim Shea displayed and answered questions about their off-road truck tires, while displaying their range of tires for street and off-road applications.

R/C aftermarket manufacturer Hardcore Racing was also present, displaying their tricked out trucks and multicolored aluminum and titanium option parts. They also set up an off road demo area where the public had a chance to drive R/C trucks and buggies over ramps and dirt jumps.

We received a great response from the public...many wanting to know what the "Show Special" price was so they could buy it right then!

The 21 engine, suspension travel and clever chassis design were crowd favorites.

Richard Trujillo from Team Losi stopped by to see the Savage 21 up close. He liked the truck too, saying "You guys did good!"

A live band outside played cover songs by Led Zeppelin and other classic rock bands.
