HPI Racing is happy to announce that the RS4 Pro 2 is getting some good results in its prototype form! "Mr. Murai" of HPI Japan Sales is one of our top racers, and he basically stole the show at the recent Hong Kong International Touring Car Championship! Over 230 racers from around the world (Japan, China, the U.S., Germany, Finland, and more) arrived to battle over the weekend of October 30 to November 1.

The traction of the parking lot surface was dusty and quite loose, with sand and small rocks in some areas of the track! Most drivers found grip to be hard to find.

Murai and Reto Konig of the HPI Racing/Team Orion racing team both made the A-Main easily. Our report from those who were there say that Murai dominated the races he was in, and had no trouble with traction. In fact, all the other racers had to chase him down!

So, it's no big surprise that Murai was able to TQ and win the Triple A-Main! Out of 230 drivers, that's a great accomplishment!

Murai and Reto used the prototype of the RS4 Pro 2, the same car that was used in the Japan Nationals (see below). You can say that this, combined with the Japan Nationals results, shows that the RS4 Pro 2 has quite a bit of potential! And just think, it's not even finalized yet...

The tires they used were the #4435 Racing Slick Belted Tire and both used the #7047 '98 Honda Accord body. Murai used Team Orion #AT2026VM V-Max Plus Batteries and #TM1103TC Super Touring 11x3 Modified Motors. Reto used LRP batteries, motors and electronics for his car.
