Joerg Unkelbach

Hello HPI!
Hello! My name is Joerg Unkelbach, and I am from Germany. I send you now for the first time some pics of a great looking HPI body of mine. This is my Beetle GT-R on a HPI Sprint 2 Chassis.
I call it "Beetle GT-R", because I have modified the appearance slightly, using the racing wing of a Mazda RC8 Body-kit and a part from a HPI Super Nitro. I have painted it in the famous "Gulf" colour-scheme, as I love these retro-looking colours.
The chassis is a brand new HPI Sprint 2 with LRP 17T Motor, LRP Quantum Super Sport speedo, LRP Phaser Competition receiver ans KoPro 712 Fet servo. I use HPI B15-40 tires mostly, because I race in the german HPI Challenge.
I would be very happy if you choose this great little racer for the HPI racers gallery.
Racers greetings from Germany

Albert C. Jr.

Hi my name is Albert and i've enjoyed hpi products since I started this hobby about 3 yrs ago. I started working on this 2000+ Eclipse body before i knew about the competition all just because I love cars. I cant even begin to tell you how many hours of work has been put into this car. Heres my list of mods, Chasis: Racing clutch, lightened flywheel, racing exhaust and header, heatsink head, aluminum gears, front belt tensioner, side belt tensioner, 2 speed transmision, and graphite upper deck. The body: Front bumper, rear bumper, side skirts and hood were cut to look like a body kit, screen mesh on hood, front bumper, rear bumper, and side skirts, taillights painted to look like altezza lights, taillights, custom HID headlights made from party plastic ice cubes that light up, headlight housing made from leftover body lexan (no headlight stickers), also made from leftover lexan are the front bumper wings. Roof scoop made from a 9v battery case, complete wraparound red underglow lights (all custom), wheel lights, custom painted wing, painted lugnuts, custom graphics, 4 headphone speakers made to look like 4 10in. subs in the rear, and a personalized flip-up license plate which reaveals the power switches for all lights. This Hpi Rs4 is the older belt driven one but it sure tears up the road and gets alot of attention, my future plans are to get all new electronics and a faster engine. Hope you guys enjoy looking at it as much as I do.
