Greatings once again from the EastCoast, =)
Drifting has been the hottest sport/ entertainment hitting the
USA shoreline from the Rising Sun JAPAN. This is my third body
that i have been working on. The Toyota Altezza Espelir OCTOBER
WEEK 3 was the my first car that had the Japanese race theme(something
new). With all the drifting action going on this year and Nobuteru
Taniguchi taking the 1st place in the D1 Gran Prix(drifting event
in japan), I decided to design the HKS S15 for the HPI Challenge
2003 held in New Jersey. This would be my second year attending
the Challenge, hoping to make it to the A Main like last year.
This car is in honor of Nobuteru Taniguchi, the next "Drift
King". With the stylish design, the car was tuned by SPEEDPRO(Al
"4 Time National Champion RC Drag" Niziolek ) to go
supa dupa fast and drift each corner it encountered. The body
arrived 2 days before the Challenge and lots of work was ahead
to make it look like the real thing. Though pressed for time the
HKS S15 made its debut and was able to make it to the concourse
this year. Thanks, i would suggest that the concourse should have
USDM and JDM as two separate classes in the concourse. The motor
and batteries were tuned by SPEEDPRO and i was the driver of POWERFUL
Drift machine it was a wild ride. I want to give thanks to SPEEDPRO(AL),
Superstreet for providing the various pictures so that i could
replicate the car, my family for being a great support and to
HPI for making it a FUN experience. Ill be back next year for
the electric pro A MAIN class and the new HKS S15 is in the works
for next year. HPI keep up the good work make some of the decals
more race scheme like ask JGTC for designs so that i dont have
to work too hard and spend too much money on the design. thanks,
i hope i win the prize.

Hi, My name is Geoff. I am a motorcycle mechanic in Chicago. This
is my third HPI RS4. Its a RS4 Racer with an OS max CV engine, Venom
temperature guage, HPI two speed, HPI pipe (that was originally black,
but I removed the paint and polished it). It also has an aluminum
upper deck that I made myself. It uses ball bearing, metal gear servos,
Novak Fm receiver. All controlled by a JR XR3 with homemade nimh packs.
Most of the time it's used for weekend fun in parking lots. Sometimes
used at the local track for RC NASCAR. |

Hi HPI!
I'm Geoff from Chicago. These are pictures of my Micro RS4. These
are great for winter indoor fun when your'e jones'n for some RC action.
This micro has a few mods like; carbon fiber chassis, aluminum bulkheads,
control arms, and wheels. Novak Spy speed controller, 7.2v nimh batteries,
and assorted leftover electronics from other cars make it go. Keep
up the good work with new ideas! |
| HPI, This was my second attempt at painting a body. I think it came
out well. Next up is the 911 GT3, should be ready in a few weeks.

Hello, my name is Joe DiBello and I live in Pleasant Valley New
York. Attached are some pictures of my Savage 21. The truck is essentially
stock except for the following: Hitec 645mg steering servo, MP servo
saver, Hot Bodies pipe, 6v hump rx batt pack and Motor Saver air filter.
This truck is raced every weekend and is setup as follows: Shock oil
- 27.5 wt, front diff oil - 3000 wt, rear diff oil - 1000 wt, stock
springs with 2 front and 2 rear spacers removed, Maximizer beadlock
rims with TRC Paqman tires. The GT-1 body was painted with Pactra
rattle cans. With four gallons through the engine, it's still running
strong and is a consistant winner at our local tracks.
Best regards,
Joe DiBello |

| Hi HPI, I am henry over 40 years old, i live in the eastern part
off holland and still love rc cars. Thanks HPI for making good quality
cars. We make them only more beautiful.
You see my RS4 MT, with sealed bearings, a 11turn mod. tamiya motor
is goes over 30 MPH. We love to climb hills and get the cars dirty
as you can see. A cleaning job is done afterwards so they look beautifull
again.

| Attached are some pictures of my HPI toys. First is our Nitro MT,
which is still stock and just for playing on the track. Next is my
Savage, which I have been racing since the day after I got it. I think
it is an easy truck to be competitive with, even in stock form. I
have been doing fair in the monster truck class, which I think is
great considering I am the only female racing in the class, and this
is my first year even owning an R/C. I do a lot of my own maintenance
since my husband is usually busy working on his 1/8 scale buggy for
races.
The first Savage picture is at a track located at Spirit Mountain,
a downhill skiing resort by Duluth, Minnesota, overlooking Lake
Superior. The other 2 pictures are actual race pictures at Fisk
Hobby Farm, a huge high speed track with big jumps located in Oak
Grove, Minnesota. Sorry they are blurry, but I wasn't about to lose
my lead to slow down for a picture, and I had a huge lead at this
race.
Savage .21 RTR
Picco .26 engine
Traxxas T-Maxx wheels
Maxx Masher 2000 tires
HPI 49 tooth spur gear
HPI polished tuned pipe
HPI heavy duty dog bones, all 6
HPI Dodge Ram body, painted by my husband
OFNA shock boots over center drive cups
OFNA 1/8 scale air filter, custom pre-filter
OFNA servo saver
Cirrus high torque metal gear ball bearing steering servo
Racer's Edge 5 cell NiMH receiver pack
The rest of the truck is still stock
We bought our first R/C's in November, 2 T-Maxx's. Then we bought
2 OFNA 9.5 1/8 scale buggies. Next was the Savage, then the Nitro
MT. Last purchase was a 3rd OFNA 9.5.
I made every effort to follow the described format. If, for any
reason, there is a problem with my entry, please let me know and
I will resubmit.
Thanks,

Hi,
Please see below for the details of my 13 year old son's Micro RS4
He has bought this car and the hopups with his own money from mowing
lawns and other chores. The body (and paint job) was a gift from
his uncle this past Christmas. My son's first try had problems with
the residue from the masking tape messing up the paint job he is
now on his second set of tires and still having fun!
Thanks,
David A. Ferris
These are a few pictures of my micro RS4 that I got about a year
ago and it is my first HPI car and I'm sure it won't be my last.
Nothing on it that came in the kit has broke. I have a HPI modified
motor. I have got a lot of WOW that's fast and that's a pretty cool
looking car you got there. I have been driving around R/C cars since
I was about 5 but I've never raced and I am planning on doing that
this year, anyway My brother has a viper and my
sister is planning to get a beetle.

This is my NRS4 Racer 2. I painted all teh decals except
the head lights and logo stickers. The NOS decal is painted on the
under side and those are chrome HPI rims. I made the dual coffee cans
attached in the rear. I have raced this car at my local track for
a while and it is decked out with every hop up there is. This is a
great car that is FAST. Brandon - Austin, TX
