What’s HPI crew? Last time I emailed you guys I was just starting out on my lexan adventures. Attached are some photos of my latest work. I’m venturing into some custom masking and texturing. This latest is a HPI BMW 200mm body with a custom teal coat of Faskolor paint and a streaked gray and silver reveal on the sides and hood. I’ve picked up a domain and hope to have more paint schemes up at www.xtremelexan.com. Thanks for selecting the Skyline I did a few weeks ago for pick of the week recently! You guys rock!!

Hi!

I'm attaching a photo of my 1/10 scale electric car for gallery consideration.

I work for Mitsubishi Motors North America so the HPI Eclipse body has a lot of appeal to me. This is a picture of my car with what we call the "F" body. The real car was made in the Mitsubishi Motors Manufacturing of America plant in Bloomingtion, Illinois for model years 1995 through 1999. It makes a great RC body and you guys did a terrific job with the detail. I also have an HPI 200mm body of the later style Eclipse on my RS4 Nitro 2. Mitsubishi calls that one an "ST" body. It started production for the 2000 model year and it's still in production today. I'll have to get a picture of that one to you also. The big triple diamond graphics for that body are great! Keep making the Mitsubishi bodies and we'll keep buying them.

Thanks a lot,
Leonard Glick

Hello HPI,
The car in the attached pictures is an RS4-3 RTR. The body is the HPI 200mm Vauxhaul Astra painted with pactra pearl purple, and pactra metallic blue with a silver wing. the blue and purple colors were faded together creating an nice iridescent look. The first modification done to this car was the removal of the stock engine in favor of the HPI 12r-SS powerhouse. This engine combined with a light weight flywheel, racing clutch and 2-speed transmission make this car scream at the track. The exhaust duties are handled with an HPI header and happy time tuned pipe. A fiber brake handles all the stopping power. The original front differential was replaced with an HPI one way differential. The front and rear shock towers were also scrapped in favor of graphite upgrades. Adjustable shocks dampen all 4-corners and a sway bar in the front aids in keeping the car feeling crisp in the turns. Fine tuning to the camber, and toe is done with a set of HPI turnbuckles. The rest of the chassis is stiffened with the removal of the factory radio tray and installation of the Hotbodies graphite upper-deck. The factory servos were also replaced with Hitec high torque and high speed servos. Depending on track surface, Team Orion foams or HPI pro compound slicks help to keep my car planted.

This car started out as a RTR kit and was upgraded to meet or exceed a 12rSS kit, which came out soon after I purchased my RTR.
A savage .21 also shares some shelf space along side of the nitro 3. The savage didn't stay stock for long either.

Thanks for creating such great RC car and truck kits. I'm greatly looking forward to seeing the new HPI R40. E-mail disclaimer pasted at the bottom of this message.

Cheers,
Eric S. Russell

Hi,

This is my Lamborghini Murcielago; this is my first attempt at building a RC car.

So far it has been great, the body is on top of a RS4 3 type SS chassis with the Nitro Star 12R SS engine.

I could not believe how easy it was to start, two pulls of the starter and away she went,

I am now looking forward to many days of happy motoring, dreaming when I could drive the real thing !!!!!!!!

Regards,

Lawrie

Dear HPI,
These are some pics of my HPI RTR 3 with a 2003 Dodge Viper GTS-R Competition Coupe. It's mostly stock except for the fail safe and Ni-MH batteries. Hopefully sometime this spring I'll get some hop-ups. I think it looks pretty much like the one on the box. My dad and I painted on my birthday last year. It was really fun painting it. I can't wait to paint my HPI Porsche 911 GT1 Le Mans, HPI Denso Sard Toyota Supra, and HPI VTEC Honda Prelude bodies. It's just been too cold around Bethesda this winter. Anyway, thanks for a great car!

I call it BioHazard, It's a sweet ride it gets me from place to place you know how it goes.

PS: HPI Rocks the house and it's foundation, and then the old lady down the street calls the cops so you have to cheese it and spend the next week at your friend Chris' house because the fuzz is guarding your house like white on rice, but it all blew over in about a week.

I'm Randy Holcomb from Union Point, Georgia and just wanted to send some pics of my most recent HPI project. This started out as a Sprint RTR but I couldn't keep it stock long. You know what they say: stock #@!* stinks! I recently added the HPI BMW body along with the HPI chrome wheels. Also added was a Varad lighting system with headlights, fog lights and taillights. The best addition so far was a Novak Super Sport Brushless Motor System. It really came alive with that! All I need now is a better gear to perfect it! Happy racing and thanks to HPI for all the endless fun and excitement!

I have many more upgrades planned, but even stock it performs exceptionally well! I cant wait to trick it out and see what it's capabable of.
