New from HPI Racing is a Low CG Racing Chassis set for the Savage series of Monster Trucks. The set fits all Savage trucks and includes new Low CG chassis plates, a machined aluminum heatsink engine mount, a roll hoop, threadlock, screws, wrench and complete installation instructions.
The Low CG chassis plates reposition the engine a full 12mm lower than the stock Savage chassis, giving the truck a lower center of gravity, improved handling, excellent stability, and faster lap times on the racetrack. The alloy TVP chassis plates are anodized black for a stealth and racy look, with a matching black roll hoop. The machined billet aluminum engine plate is finned to help keep the engine cool and reduce overall weight, and is specially designed for extra driveshaft clearance when using the Low CG chassis plates. It's purple anodized for a custom look that matches other HPI factory option parts.
This complete set will be a popular item for Savage and Savage X owners who race their trucks! HPI Nubz wheels and tires (#87233) are highly recommended for maximum performance.
For the original Savage this set requires the use of a pullstarter engine, engines with Roto Start are not compatible. This set can be used with the Savage X and a pullstarter or Roto Start engine, slight trimming of the Savage X plastic roll hoop is required.
