This optional 7075 engine plate increases the bracing potential over the stock engine plate by adding material along the engine mount.  It is more rigid than the stock stamped part and the extended arm prevents the clutch bell from hitting the chassis and stalling the engine after hard landings.  In addition, it offers a more precise alignment of the engine.
