Congratulations to Team HB/HPI RACING's Atsushi Hara for the TQ and 2nd place at the World Championships!

HB/HPI RACING's Team Driver, former Touring Car and 1/8th Scale Offroad Buggy World Champion, Atsushi Hara took TQ honors and the 2nd step on the podium at the 2012 1/10th Scale Electric IFMAR ISTC World Championships in the Netherlands. Hara stormed through practice, with his HB TCXX,  and then took the top spot in the qualifying sessions to line up as #1 for the A-Main events. After an intense battle in the first A-Main, Hara was pipped at the line by a mere .139 seconds by local Dutch driver Jilles Groskamp. For A-Main #2 both drivers ran into problems as Groskamp had a DNF and Hara placed mid pack. It came down to the final A-Main #3 and after an incredibly hard fought battle it came down to the wire once more with Hara taking win this time from a charging Grosskamp. Both drivers were tied on points, but the tie breaker went to Groskamp for taking the faster winning time (for his win in A-1).

Team HB/HPI RACING's Andy Moore, the 2006 Touring Car World Champion, finished in 8th place overall.
