HPI RACING x SRAM x 702 Raceway

Hpi Racing joined forces with Cycling Industry Giant SRAM of Chicago, IL., and 702 Raceway in Las Vegas, NV. to bring out the "Hpi Racing x SRAM HBall BLITZ Bash at 702...2010". The dirt track at 702 Raceway saw "Cycling Industry RC Fans" battle it out for all the marbles with "spec" Hpi BLITZes.

The International field consisted of 5 Teams of 3 drivers each, with each driver battling it out in 3 separate 5 minute Motos to be followed by the 15 minute Enduro Main Event in which the 3 are working together as a Team!

The first team (MH) consisted of the brainchild of the Hpi x SRAM HBall BLITZ Bash, Greg Herbold, 1990 MTB DH World Champion, of SRAM Corp., and his mates "Richard" (...the RC Pro Ringer for the night and announcer extraordinaire) ... and "Krispy".

The Euros (Team RC Hillbillies) we're in full attendance with Christoph, Mario and Michael of FOX Racing Shox and Canyon Bicycles.

The Mid West Crew (RR) was made up of John, Tom and Joel from Hayes Bicycle Group.

Team WTB (M3) was made up of the 3 Marks ... Mark, Mark and Mark

Team Blitzkrieg was Eric and Keith from Rays Indoor Mountain Bike Park and Hpi's very own John Schultz

The action started with  the fast furious 5 minute Motos where each team member fended for himself and battled it out for personal glory and team bragging rights. After a short break we we're off into the 15 minute Enduro Main Event, complete with driver and battery changes!

The action started fast and furious as with the Motos...after some dor banging gear grinding action it came down to a battle between Team "MH" RC Pro Driver "Richard" chasing down Blitzkriegs Eric S. Most of the crowd expected a swift catch by the seasoned Pro ... but it was not too be as Eric S held off the Challange and became the First Ever Winner of the First Ever Hpi Racing x SRAM Hball BLITZ Bash!!!
