The heavily anticipated 11th annual NGK Spark Plugs Advanced Auto Parts Monster Jam World Finals took place at Sam Body Stadium in Las Vegas Nevada on March 26-27 2010. This highly decorated event was on pace to have record breaking crowds as well as the most monster trucks ever in one place at one time.  HPI Racings John Schultz was on hand to cover all the action during the entire week of preparation including the built ford tough double down party in the pits. Festivities kicked off on Friday during the double down party as every Monster Truck was on display for the fans. The Ultimate Hobbies demo team thrilled the crowd each day with nonstop high flying jumping action with theirHPI 5b's ,5T's, Savages, and Savage Flux trucks.  As the Friday Double Down party came to a close it was time for the 24 competing Monster Trucks to take to the track for some final practice and qualifying  to set the field for the following  big day of Racing and freestyle action. With a blistering pass of 16.00 seconds flat its was Marc McDonald and El Toro Loco earning the top qualifying spot.

Saturday marked the big day that the entire monster truck community waits for each year. With the 24 truck field set and on display for the pit party, Ultimate hobbies and HPI welcomed Bari Musawwir and Tom Dixon of No Limit RC and No Limit RC of Florida to put on a Replica RC Monster Truck Race featuring replicas of all 24 competing trucks.  Just like there 10,000 pound counterparts each truck qualified to set the field for the single elimination style bracket.  Bari Musawwir with his Maximum Destruction Savage X would claim the top qualifying spot. As they made their way through the bracket the first semi final round match up saw Bari take out number 4 qualifier, Cory Elliot and hisMadusa Savage X. In the other bracket John Schultz and Grave Digger took out fellow HPI co worker Travis Brock and his Stone Crusher Savage Flux.  The classic final round saw John Schultz  and Grave Digger take out Bari in one of the closest races of the day. Would this be a sign of things to come for the real Monster Jam final race??? Only time would tell. For complete results of this demo racing event visitwww.nolimitrcfl.com/results.html After the No Limit RC Demo was complete it was time for the Ultimate hobbies freestyle demo to close out the pit party in grand high flying action.

Well with the atmosphere set it was finally time to crown 2 Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam World Champions. Racing saw some very close matchups, upsets, roll over's and crashes to say the least. The final 4 featured number 1qualifier Mark McDonald in El Toro Loco versus the legendary Dennis Anderson and Grave Digger. Mark gave the crazy bull all she had but came up short in a spectacular finish line crash into one of the freestyle obstacle. Dennis would Pilot Grave Digger 20 to the finals to face the winner of the other semi final bracket. 8 time world champion TomMents in Maximum Destruction squared off against the defending 2009 freestyle champion Damon Bradshaw and the US Air Force Afterburner.  In the closest race of the night Tom Ments pulled out a come from behind win to set up the classic Ments vs Anderson matchup in the finals. As both trucks charged down the straight away they were virtually even, but it would be Dennis Anderson making a better turn to sail his was over the finish line to claim his 4th Monster Jam Championship and become the 2010 Monster Jam Racing Champion.  When the dust settled it was time for crown a freestyle champion. Each of the remaining 22 drivers took their shot at the biggest freestyle obstacles seen to date. It would be veteran Monster Truck driver CharliePaukens in Monster Mutt that would wow the crowd from the very start of his run, until he filled bonus time with a brilliant display of driving talent to take the Freestyle title hands down.
