Hyperdrift Northern California Alpha1 RC Drift Point Series – Round 1
Let the battle for supremacy begin! On June 26th, thirty drifters from both the NorCal and Sacramento area battled it out at Fast Pace racing in San Jose in round 1. With the counter-steer craze growing, there was an even mix of CS and traditional set-ups, creating plenty of interesting tandem battles and egos to go with it. The surface at FPR was a challenge to some, as the wall of shame claimed victims all throughout the night.
The highlight of the comp was during the semi-finals, as Chris from Limited Traction and Jeremy from Sacramento’s Wickedways went into 3 sudden death rounds. Both drivers refused to make any mistakes; by the 2nd sudden death it was clear that this was going to be a test of endurance. In the end, Chris was able to pull off the win by a narrow margin and was able to score 3rd place overall.
