The Orlando Citrus Bowl welcomed the Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam back to Orlando, Florida on January 30th, 2010. Once again the No Limit RC of Florida club was on deck to put a great RC Monster Truck race on for the home town crowd at the Built Ford Tough Party in the pits. With rain in the forecast, the No Limit gang opted to use a brand new red to green starting light built by Tom Dixon with only one days notice! The team constructed a Chicago style racing course, perfect for some high flying racing action. After setup was complete, a light rain started to fall, but that did not discourage the Orlando faithful as they crowded around the No Limit RC compound to watch driver and truck introductions. After intros were done, the 24 Truck field was set and ready to go qualifying. Billy Dunleavy and his Bad Habit Savage XL would set down the early time to beat, but it was Bari Musawwir and his Savage X Grave Digger taking the number 1 spot. Shortly after qualifying concluded, the crowd was buzzing with anticipation for elimination racing to start. With an array of exciting races under their belt, Michael Hartsock and his Gunslinger Savage squared off against Bari and the Grave Digger in the first semi final round. In one of the closest races of the day, Michael Hartsock crossed the finish line just inches in front of Bari, to earn a spot in the finals. The other semi final race featured Billy Dunleavy with Bad Habit take out Zeek Heard and his Blue Thunder Savage. With the stage set for the finals, the crowd cheered for their favorite truck as they staged. As the light turned green it was Billy Getting the whole shot for the early lead as they raced around an extra lap to decide the winner. When the dust settled it would be Billy taking the win. Congrats to Billy on his first win of the No Limit RC of Florida Monster Jam tour. With time winding down at the pit party, Bari brought his Grave Digger Baja 5T out to wow the crowd with a parting Air Assault freestyle. After A fun filled day of RC Action, it was time to get ready for Monster Jam. The Icon Dennis Anderson and the legendary Grave Digger was able to claim the racing win over Neil Elliot and Maximum Destruction. Dennis also won the Double down trophy as he flew high in Freestyle.
