The Blitz has been released to the public in digital content form, but is not available for purchase just yet! While pre-orders are starting to build, lot’s of speculation is going on and has people wondering a few things... Is it as good as it sounds? Is it fast? Does it out perform the others in its class? And if it does all those things well, is it durable? So on Wednesday, August 12th a small group of HPI R&D team members loaded up three Blitz short course trucks and headed to a Southern California R/C hot spot to continue research and get/give feedback from onlookers.

Testing for this evening was conducted at West Coast Raceway and Hobby Garage in La Mirada CA. This brand new indoor facility features one of the best clay tracks in the country along with a layout that is perfect for Short Course racing. This track is one of the many that we wish to test on for all conditions, so we have a list and checking it twice.

As we were setting up our pit tables, the immediate flood of inquires began about the Blitz, but wanting to touch it, hold it and drive it! There were offers to buy the one we had on display for ridiculous amounts of money. But through the minor-mayhem the HPI Crew continued to get the trucks set up to hit the track. With batteries charged, eager onlookers where ready for a new era of short course racing as the HPI Crew took the drivers stand. After a few warm up laps to get the feel of West Coast's new layout the Blitz took off and never looked back after laying down battery pack after battery pack.

As the night progressed the HPI Crew got faster and faster, leaving every other short course truck on the track in the dust, wishing for the amount of traction that HPI's Blitz had to offer. The Blitz’s offered noticeable ability to fly level off of the bigger triples as well as the durability to take a beating when things did go as planned. Actually, nothing broke on this night and

Overall I know the Blitz made a huge impression on everyone in attendance and definitely made some of the other team's factory drivers more than a bit nervous about the release of HPI's new Short Course Monster – BLITZ.

Keep an eye open, were coming strong and fast when you least expected it..... PREPARE FOR THE BLITZ!
