No Limit RC of Virginia's first annual Pumpkin Smash was a great time. We had a great turnout, great weather and a great host. We had a fast track, it was old school figure eight from Louisville dating back to around 1986. The racing was fast with a little bumping and grinding. After the racing came some fun. We had the pumpkin carving contest, and the competition was just as stiff. Dennis was one of the judges and the winner got an autographed piston from The Man himself. Next was the Baja race. We had it on the ride truck course. The starting line was on top of a bus stack and then went on to the course with the hills. The first No Limit Baja race was a success and we are looking to add it to the World Finals. Next up was every ones favorite, Freestyle. This is where it got interesting, you see, everyone who entered a pumpkin in the contest had to put it out on the track for freestyle, and smash it! Extra points were awarded for smashing it, needless to say there were pumpkin guts all over the track. It was great! Next thing up was truck pull. Truck pulling is getting bigger and bigger. We even have people coming out just for pulling with purpose built trucks. The competition is getting fierce. HPI was the major sponsor with lots of goodies including a bunch of bodies and two kits. SMC and Buku were also on board with prizes, along with Tiger Drive, Blue Grove, RC Pro Racing, Temp Gun, and Fast Lane. Stay tuned for dates for next year, it should be even bigger!
