On the weekend of Sunday, August 10, 2008, SoCal Subaru enthusiasts gathered from all over to make their way to the first ever, Subie Extravaganza, held in the city of Orange, at the famed Dromo 1 Karting facility. The day was action packed, and consisted of an awesome car show, with a total of 15 different classes, tons of raffles held throughout the entire day, a vendor row exhibiting some of the cleanest, and most sought after machines out there, and the day also consisted of a King of the Track karting tournament that let the masters of the karts drive their way to the podium. With over rounding up over 250 people, you would have never guessed that it was a first time event, especially with all of the backing from all of the sponsors, including HPI Racing, which awarded tons with plenty of our precision die cast models, as well as a couple of R/C cars for some of the big winners. HPI would like to congratulate all of the show and karting winners, as well as all the sponsors and spectators that showed up for support and to make this an event a great one that needs to happen again, and for Kevin for putting on a great event for Subaru scene!
