Southern California RC Rock Crawling Competition Series – Round #3 November 3, 2007 Pics/words: John Schultz Round three of the So-Cal RC Rock Crawling Competition Series was moved to Cougar Buttes in Johnson Valley, Ca. because of the high surf levels at the location chosen in San Pedro, Ca. Cougar Buttes had great weather, no wind and cool temps as 53-crawlers in 2.2 and 10-supers showed up to take on 3 difficult stages. It was great to see people from all over come out to crawl. We even had the CKRC team from N.V. come out to show us how to crawl! RCPcrawlers.com started a new way of organizing the event format which helped to move thing right along. Instead of waiting to hear your name called at one of the three course locations, you were given a card to take to the stage that you wanted to do next and proceed to the next crawl location. The events keeps getting bigger and bigger as new people are coming out and getting involved, and the new novice class is great! Keep it up So Cal RCRC!
