HPI Racing 2006 Super-Taikyu Race Efforts
Car: #2 FUJITSUBO SubaruImpreza STi
Team: PROVA RACING DIVISION
Drivers: Toshihiro Yoshida / Kazuhiro Koizumi
HPI Racing and Hot Bodies are proud to announce the continuation of full-scale (1:1) auto racing in the
2006 Super Taikyu Endurance Series. Prova Racing Division has prepared a 2006 Subaru Impreza ST
i to compete in what some consider the hardest racing series in Japan.
This will be the third year HPI has been involved with Prova in the Super Taikyu race program with last year winning first place in the championship series.
The Super Taikyu Endurance Series is a all-out endurance battle with very strict regulations forcing the teams to work very closely to the limits of production based vehicles. This reflects heavily on the auto manufactures to the performance and reliability of everyday based production products, thus the appeal from “street tuner enthusiast” and aftermarket manufactures. While the JGTC and other forms of racing have great “fan appeal” the Super-Taikyu Endurance Series has the core-attention of a what TransAm (USA) once had with production based performance vehicles and their enthusiast.
The #2 Fujitsubo Subaru Impreza ST
i will be piloted by Toshihiro Yoshida and Kazuhiro Koizumi who are set to compete in the eight race endurance series. Of interest to anyone that aspires to compete in real racing, team driver Kazuhiro Koizumi started his racing career driving radio controlled cars in the early 1990's, competing at many top 1/10th scale buggy and on-road races around the world. Toshihiro Yoshida in the early 90’s was racing full scale cars such as the wildly popular Honda Civic in the N1 Endurance Series. These two drivers have made for a great team ever since they joined forces in 2004 with championship win in 2005.

Classifications are determined by engine size, model and aftermarket parts. This series is the only full-scale endurance race series in Japan, as represented by events such as the Tokachi 24-Hours Race. A large variety of teams - from local skillful teams to professional endurance teams, fully supported by manufacturers - participate in this series of exciting and heated battles.
