Many R/C hobbyists want a dual-purpose car that can tackle the toughest on-road course while still being able to take on whatever off-road obstacles that may get in the way. With the RS4 Rally, all this can be accomplised by a specially designed car designed to withstand the rigors of off-road running!

The RS4 Rally. Equipped with long-travel shocks, all-terrain tires, a polycarbonate underbody, skid plate front bumper (not shown in pictures), an inner body with two driver figures, plus a stunning officially licensed WRC body, this is one tough car. The RS4 Rally also will have as standard equipment: a full set of ball bearings, belt tensioner, maintenance-free gear diffs, dual-belt drive, new gray mesh wheels, and an integrated servo saver.  One test drive will convince you that this will be the car to have for running wherever you want to go.

The underbody attaches to the fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) chassis. Three screw mounts hold the underbody to the chassis, and the front of the underbody slips under the skid plate front bumper. This underbody keeps rocks and dirt out, and helps the RS4 Rally to slide over obstacles it may not be able to clear. Notice the standard equipment belt tensioner and carbon fiber-reinforced 48 pitch spur gear!

271i-bh-t.jpg (8995 bytes)The RS4 Rally is based on the tough and durable RS4 Sport, with its proven HPI dual belt system and bellcrank steering. Stick or side-by side packs can be easily inserted using the convenient battery holder system.

Hook and loop fasteners hold the inner body on the chassis for great protection against dirt, rocks, grass and whatever else you can think of! The driver figures, steering wheel, helmets and roll bar all come with the kit, for the ultimate in rally realism!

271-bt-t.jpg (8724 bytes)Smooth power delivery to all four wheel is done by HPI's proven dual belt design. Standard belt tensioner keeps the front belt secure and a carbon fiber-reinforced spur gear is standard in the kit.

tcrallyt.jpg (12337 bytes)Rally tires feature directional treads to kick out dirt and rocks. Mounted on new 26mm wide wheels, the stock tires are great for most off-road surfaces, and softer tires are available for hard-packed dirt. The HPI rally tires are great for most off-road surfaces, and the extra-long oil-filled shock absorbers soak up the worst you can give the RS4 Rally. Polished shock shafts and shock bladders are part of the self-bleeding shocks, features that would cost you more on other kits.

271-fs-t.jpg (11440 bytes)Extra long nylon shock bodies dampen all four corners. Polished shock shafts and shock bladders are high points of these easy to assemble dampers. Each shock, front and rear, has two positions at the top and bottom for race tuning. Threaded camber links allow easy adjustments, and ride height is easily changed. This kit is ready for racing!

Please note: The RS4 Rally comes unassembled, with no electronics. You will need: a 2-channel radio with receiver and servo, electronic speed control, .05 type electric motor, one or more 6-cell battery packs (assembled in stick or side-by-side pack style) and a peak detection battery charger. With the kit gears installed, the optimum motor for fast action is a 17 turn motor.

The retail price is $269.00 (USD) for the RS4 Rally kits.
