Get
ready for our race-ready Nitro Rush, HPI's first 2WD Nitro-powered truck! The
Nitro Rush kits are available now! These pre-assembled trucks are ready to go
right out of the box, with a pre-painted, pre-drilled and cut out body! The
Nitro Rush kits are available with or without our TX-2 radio set installed!

 How
did we go about designing this totally new truck? We started with a 2.5mm thick
purple anodized aluminum countersunk chassis, which features a large "tunnel"
for extreme strength. The refined Nitro Star 15FE engine sits on an engine plate
that is shaped to provide extra reinforcement for the rear end of the chassis.
The Nitro Star 15FE is one of the easiest-to-tune engines ever, with just one
carb adjustment and many improvements made in the past several months for more
power and strength! You'll get real top-end speed and lots of fun out of
this engine!
 The
Nitro Star 15FE engine breathes in through an open-cell foam air filter, and out
through a finned header, which attaches to our excellent plastic dual-chamber
tuned pipe with a silicone "J" tube. Our plastic tuned pipe has almost
the same performance our regular aluminum tuned pipe, plus it costs much less
so YOU don't have to pay more to have great performance! Using a new plastic welding
technology and a dual chamber design, our new tuned pipe is better than any other
plastic tuned pipe currently available. It won't bend in crashes and features
the "HPI Oval" logo, as well as a cool inline pressure fitting for a
sleek, clean look.
 The
Nitro Rush is our first two-drive truck, and we've taken many standard features
of other off-road kits and tweaked them with "the HPI touch". The Nitro
Star 15FE drives the Nitro Rush's spur gear, which sits on a slipper pad that
can be easily adjusted with the included HPI cross wrench. An enclosed "lay-down"
type 3-gear transmission transfers power to the maintenance-free gear differential,
on the way to the rear wheels. The entire drivetrain runs on a full set of
ball bearings, including the front wheels and all the transmission parts!
Want to slow this monster down? A vented plastic disc brake comes standard, which
can easily be upgraded to our fiber disc brake.
 The
suspension uses proven racing geometry for a solid ride and easy driving. Our
own composite long-stroke oil-filled coil-over shocks are assembled and installed
front and rear, with optional mounting holes for easy tuning. Optional springs
(yellow and blue) are already available, as well as aluminum shock kits, so you
can customize the kit immediately! The nylon suspension arms, shock towers and
camber links are super-strong, yet flex in a crash so you can keep going where
other trucks can't!
The
tough, slick-looking plastic upper deck helps the truck look great, but it's functional,
too: The fuel tank, receiver and steering servo are directly in the center of
the Nitro Rush for great handling!  An
ingenious new overflow system make sure excess fuel is directed not around the
rest of the truck, but through a hole in the bottom of the chassis. Awesome! The
steering servo connects directly to the front steering arms through a huge servo
saver, so you won't have to worry about your servo taking any damage while running
the Nitro Rush. The receiver lies in a protected area of the chassis, in front
of the fuel tank covered by a door in the upper deck. A body clip holds the door
shut, preventing fuel and dirt from damaging the electronics.
All-new
wheels and tires compliment the radical styling of the Nitro Rush body: Type F5
5-spoke truck wheels in a cool molded dark gray color are wrapped with all-purpose
HPI multi-rib front and "X" rear tires. This combination is great for
all-around traction and fun! On the street, the tires won't wear out quickly,
and in the rough stuff the grip is phenomenal!

The
Nitro Rush is our easiest kit ever to get running - the body is pre-painted a
bright yellow, the decals are already cut out for you, and the body is cut out,
so you don't have to even pick up a pair of scissors! The wheel openings, front
windshield, side window and rear deck are also cut out for engine cooling and
refueling ease.

An unassembled kit
with "Racer" specifications is already being considered. Great
radio! The HPI TX-2 radio system included with HPI RTR kits is packed
with features! The super narrowband AM transmitter and receiver work together
to let you precisely control your car. Six different crystal choices let you race
with your friends! 
The
radio transmitter is comfortable to hold and features a battery strength indicater,
letting you know when the batteries need to be replaced or charged. The transmitter
also features a retractable antenna, steering and throttle trim dials (for fine
adjustments to center the servos), plus a dual rate adjustment for the steering!
Dual rate is very important because it lets you adjust how far the steering servo
turns the front wheels left and right. Two strong
servos are also installed in each HPI RTR Nitro kit, already plugged into the
standard size super narrowband AM receiver. A convenient on/off switch is also
included! If a warranty issue is ever encountered,
Airtronics handles all USA returns and repairs. Upgrades are also available from
your local hobby shop! Four AA batteries are needed
to fit in the car battery holder, with 8 AA batteries needed for the transmitter. Required
to make the Nitro Rush ready to run: 12 AA batteries for receiver
battery pack and radio, 20% Nitro fuel for cars, glow plug igniter and fuel bulb.
NOTE: Kit #564 will require a radio set including transmitter, 2 servos, receiver,
receiver battery pack and switch. See
