HPI Racing - Nitro RS4 MT Racer

So you want the Nitro MT but don't want to collect all the cool option parts that are available for it? Check out the Nitro MT Racer, with all of the standard features of the standard Nitro RS4 MT and many more features to enhance the toughness and durability of this amazing 4WD Nitro-powered stadium truck!

This full-time shaft-driven 4WD truck can handle the most extreme terrain you can imagine! Rocks, dirt, pebbles, twigs, and grass have no effect on the Nitro MT's effectiveness in carving up the worst vacant lot or field! Any HPI Nitro Star or Nitro Star Pro engine (except the Nitro Star Pro 21R SC) will fit right in with the included engine mounts! No engine is included with the Nitro MT Racer kit.

The heart of the Nitro RS4 MT Racer is the 2.5mm thick purple anodized aluminum countersunk chassis. The 12-tooth clutchbell provides more "punch" and drives the slipper clutch-equipped spur gear. The slipper clutch assembly drives dogbones, one to the front and another to the rear. (see the rendering below) The dogbones connect to the gearboxes at each end of the Nitro MT Racer, which contain strong metal bevel gears attached to o-ring sealed gear differentials. The differentials give the truck awesome cornering capabilities and great handling!

The diffs drive MIP Shiny CVDs at each corner of the Nitro MT Racer kit, and Pro-Line M3 Bow Tie tires get the power to the ground with rubber blocks that attack all sorts of terrain for awesome traction and grip!

A tough upper deck forms the backbone of the Nitro RS4 MT Racer, which holds the new Racer 2-style fuel tank. The new fuel tank has no primer and features a redesigned cap for no leaking problems and more reliable pressure fittings. The upper deck also holds the swing-out radio tray! All of the electronics are attached to the radio tray - both servos, receiver pack, switch, receiver and antenna! Once the radio tray is taken off, use our #9062 Nitro Car Cleaner to spray off any grime, oil and dirt. It just can't be any easier!

The Nitro RS4 MT Racer uses the proven suspension from the electric RS4 MT. New reinforced suspension arms and composite coil-over long travel shock absorbers give the Nitro MT Racer traction on all types of terrain, from the bumpiest field to neighborhood driveways and curbs. Stainless steel hinge pins help make the suspension extremely strong, and braces at the front and rear reinforce the hinge pins against any damage. Super tough nylon shock towers resist breaking from the worst wrecks and have alternate shock positions for fine-tuning the handling, and also for on-road racing.

The kit comes with our Nitro MT-1 body, with a sleek design with an extended hood and cab area, molded number plates and roll bars, plus a huge rear spoiler for added traction! A huge sheet of new flexible vinyl decals is included, which has revised grilles and headlights, plus new black, blue and silver decals for a great new look. The body also includes a protective overspray film and window masks for easy painting!

Many standard and option parts that are available for the electric RS4 MT will fit - shock absorbers, tires, wheels, axles, gear diff internals and many more. Option parts aren't a problem, either! The RS4 MT Super Shocks will fit right on the Nitro MT Racer. We've also released hardened steel bevel gears, universal dogbones for the center drive, and 2 speed (for on-road use only, of course)!

Required to make the Nitro RS4 MT Racer ready for running: 2-stroke car engine with standard-length crankshaft, 2-channel radio with two servos, battery pack, switch and receiver, AA batteries for receiver battery pack and radio, 20% Nitro fuel for cars and fuel bulb. To prepare the body, you will need Lexan paint (we recommend Pactra brand paints) and pair of curved Lexan scissors, or at least a sharp hobby knife.
