Assembly Instructions - Page 9, Step 7

This is an optional step for Micro owners who want to use the HPI optional Micro Battery Pack or a Nitro car receiver pack.

If you visit your local hobby shop you can find nickel-cadmium battery packs (in yellow shrink wrap) or nickel metal-hydride battery packs (in green shrink wrap). This step will show you how to attach an optional battery pack to the optional battery pack track that comes with your kit.

If you plan to have several battery packs for your Micro, you may wish to get extra #73409 parts trees to have the optional battery pack mount. It is very inexpensive ($4 US) and makes it easy to keep running your car after you have run down a battery pack.

Step 7

Cut parts 2 and 9 from the #73409 parts tree and attach them. The shape of the parts will keep them together, you don't have to glue anything.

Use Shoe Goo or another tube silicone-based adhesive or double-sided tape to attach the battery pack in place. It is best if you glue the pack after you are done with the assembly of the car so you can center it properly in the battery pack holder.
