Now we start building the battery holder for your car. This will allow you to use both AA and AAA type batteries.

Find the silver-colored battery spring tabs in the parts box and cut the battery holder parts from the #73408 parts tree.

Press the larger battery spring into place in the #73408-4 part. Use the L-wrench that came with your kit.

With the remaining two battery springs, place them as shown in the #73408-5 part. Make sure the ends of the battery springs face away from the end of the battery holder. This will provide the tension the batteries need to touch the metal parts of the battery holder.

Press the two battery springs into place.
