This step completes the front diff assembly, attaching the bearings, diff pulley and outdrives.

Step 13

Prepare your instant glue. We use Zap brand CA glue that you can find in many hobby stores. It is double-sealed to prevent drying out, and includes this useful tube that lets you precisely apply glue to tight spots.

The tube also lets you apply a very small amount of glue, such as to the front diff pulley. You just need a couple of drops around the pulley.

Attach the side of the pulley, making sure it is centered on the pulley.

Here you can see the pulley is properly attached, with no gaps between the pulley guide and the teeth of the pulley.

Attach the B028 6 x 10 x 3mm bearing.

Slide the pulley assembly onto the diff.

Slide the remaining bearing over the other end of the front diff.

Lightly grease the front outdrives.

Use your finger to spread the grease around. You just need a light coat, remember! Wipe your fingers off on a shop towel.

This is what the completed front diff should look like. Note the distance between the outdrives and the diff.

This shows the outdrives incorrectly installed. If your diff looks like this, simply rotate the outdrives while gently pushing them into the diff and they will settle in properly.
