With the Pro 4 project, I wanted to create a competitive chassis; that, while conventional in layout, has a strong focus on the important details for a race platform.

The concept of the Pro 4 is a no-compromise Pro level car that is competitive at the highest level of racing.. right out of the box. Woven graphite, titanium, aluminum, carbide, and carbon fiber reinforced nylon are used extensively throughout the car, making the Pro 4 extremely light and strong.

The Pro 4 is our highest performing electric touring car ever!
I wanted to bring back some of the values of our Pro 2 platform that we felt were successful. More bang for your buck! A lot of attention was devoted to the fit and finish of the Pro 4 to ensure it is truly a “pro” level chassis. This allows racers to build the car and be competitive straight out of the box. Last but not least, we always want to incorporate style into our product. We hope you’ll find that with many of the components, form and function work together to bring you a chassis with superior style and class leading performance.

The RS4 Pro 4 is a radical departure from the RS4 Pro 3, offering a change of concept for HPI both for suspension geometry & transmission. The all new shaft drive RS4 Pro 4 is the result of extensive track testing at the highest levels of competition.
New drivetrain, new suspension, and new steering geometry take the Pro 4 to a new level of performance. Consistency, tuning options & drivability have all been drama-tically improved. The most significant change is that the Pro 4, at the requests of our drivers & customers, uses a shaft drive transmission. Track testing revealed the benefits of low maintenance & fast acceleration that a shaft drive transmission offers.

Again at the requests of our customers, the RS4 Pro 4 is only available in self-assembly kit form with key items like the radio, ESC, body and tires left to the choice of the driver. The Pro 4 will use the highest quality materials & will have a high standard specification to make it a force at the race track.

Our team drivers are racing the Pro 4 at major electric touring car races around the world. This factory support and continued development of the platform ensures that the Pro 4 will keep up with the latest racing technology.

New for HPI is the standard 6-ball bearing steering assembly , providing a slop-free steering setup. New ball cups and socketed ball ends are also included to eliminate steering slop.
Steering ackerman can be easily adjusted by moving the steering links to optional holes on the woven graphite steering plate to help fine tune the steering response for faster lap times.
Pivot blocks provide for a range of suspension adjustments not found on many other touring cars.Roll center can be adjusted using aluminum shims.
