HB Team Driver Ty Tessman has been a storm of great results lately, tearing up tracks in the United States with his D8 and D8T - this past weekend was no different, with a great qualifying result in the buggy class and TQ and win with the D8T in truggy! Ty was able to qualify in second place in the buggy class, his D8 serving him extremely well in the difficult windy, sandy, rainy and snowy (!) conditions of the infamous Silver State race - a race so famous for being wind-blown, that the drivers bring motocross goggles as standard equipment! Jesse Robbers qualified lucky 13th with the upcoming CR8 buggy - see the exclusive video with the designer of the D8 and CR8, Josh Alton, as he goes through just about every detail of the CR8, a car that's been in testing for several months and is very highly anticipated by racers around the world! To follow up Ty's recent ROAR Nationals win in the truggy class, Ty set the truggy pace early on, using his skills and the qualities of the D8T to its best on the tough, dusty track. He qualified first overall, ahead of the latest IFMAR nitro buggy World Champion, with teammate Jesse Robbers in third place. Ty went on to win the truggy class by over a lap, with Jesse in 5th just a couple of laps down. Some of the top names in the race fell to the wayside, making Ty's job just a bit easier, but it was still quite an effort! Congratulations, Ty! In buggy, things didn't go as well for Ty, suffering a flameout with just a few minutes left in the race - without this he could have easily been in the running for the win, but that's racing sometimes!
