Belted or
Non-Belted?
HPI
developed our belted tires to help prevent the tire from expanding during
acceleration. A strip of nylon belt on the inside makes them very similar
to full-size racing tires. Another benefit is that the contact patch does not
squirm as much during cornering. The result of the belted technology is
more grip and much longer tire life.
Belted tires are perfect
for Nitro racers, the belts keep the tires from expanding (or "ballooning")
under the rotational forces while racing.
