10 years of the LRP-HPI Challenge in Germany!

Tue, 11th August 2009

That's right, it's been 10 years since the start of the HPI Challenge in Germany, organized by LRP and run by dozens of RC clubs across the country! The LRP-HPI Challenge promotes fair racing with equally-powered cars on the same tyres and chassis of similar capability in each class. It's a series designed for fun, not big budgets, and is the ideal starter race series for drivers of all ages! Last year, 107 races took place, with over 1000 entrants in total. With several racing classes from Junior drivers, Classic (vintage/retro), Stock and Super Stock Touring Car, and even Nitro Stock to choose from, it's a weekend of fun and excitement that the entire family can take part in.

The new year's LRP-HPI Challenge includes the all-new Formula Ten class, featuring one of the hottest new platforms released by HPI in recent years. With realistic looks, open-wheel design and RWD power, this is sure to be an interesting class to watch and totally fun to take part in! Other popular classes include opportunities to race the Hot Bodies Cyclone TC and Cyclone S cars, as well as popular HPI models such as the E10 and Sprint 2! LRP offers opportunities for racers to use LiPo batteries and brushless motors as well, plus drivers of other brands of touring cars are welcome to have fun too! The biggest single LRP-HPI Challenge event is at the LRP Touring Car Masters, where over 200 Challenge racers get to drive on the same track as the top touring car racers from around the world!
