HPI @ WorldRX! Deep in the Wilds of France!

Wed, 28th September 2016

The first weekend of September was a busy one for the HPI crew, spending it at the famous Rallycross Loheac track in the Brittany region of northwestern France! For 40 years, this racing circuit outside the village of Loheac has been host to the iconic rallycross style of racing, and the tradition continues as it hosted the French round of the 2016 FIA World Rallycross championship series!

HPI Racing was in fully effect as well, embedded deep in the Fan Zone, amongst motorsport and automotive displays ranging from stadium trucks to military hardware.

Racing fans from across France and the rest of Europe enjoyed bashing about with the HPI Micro RS4 decked out in various rallycross-style liveries...

...and have you ever seen a Ford Mustang take a big jump?

Of course the Hoonigan racing division were there, with their amazing full-size pit space...

...and you could get to within almost-touching distance of the fabulous Ford Mustang RTR Spec 5, driven by Vaughn Gittin Jr himself!

We had a bit of fun doing a drag race off the famous Loheac RX starting line...

It makes an interesting contrast to a start of one of the real rallycross car races!

Between the races, we attended the awesome Monster Energy Rig Riot...

...and we were super lucky to get onto the actual race track itself for a bit of shenanigans...

And we even got onto the grid for the semi-Finals!

But the luckiest people of all were our dedicated and awesome HPI Racing fans, as you were taken LIVE on a ride-along with the professional fun-haver himself, Vaughn Gittin Jr!

For the Final itself, we were able to watch it with the Hoonigan crew from their pit area...

...and we even congratulated Andreas on his 2nd place finish, directly after the podium ceremony!

And after the racing was over and the fans had left...

...well that is something you'll have to check back for soon!
