HPI's hyper-detailed 1/43 scale diecast model car line-up now includes a spectacular 3-car Jaguar XJR-9 1988 Le Mans Special Set. The set comes in a special display box that opens to display all 3 of the factory Jaguar XJR-9 cars that competed in the 1988 24 Hours of Le Mans event. Powered by a 7 liter V12 engine, the XJR-9 wrestled the prestigious overall win from a strong field of Porsche 962 competitors. This set includes three precision 1/43 scale replicas: the famous #2 car that was driven to victory at Le Mans in 1988 by Jan Lammers, Johnny Dumfries and Andy Wallace, along with team cars #21 and #22, all in the famous Jaguar colors. The Le Mans victory was the first for Jaguar since 1957, placing the XJR-9 high on the list of most-desired race cars of all time. These are limited edition sets with only 1404 pieces being offered worldwide, so you know that these are truly rare sets that will appeal to collectors and motor racing enthusiasts. HPI precision die-cast metal models are 1/43 scale, a convenient size for any desk or display case. Incredible attention has been paid to make the shape of cars as true to scale as possible. Fine exterior details like radiators, disc brakes, brake calipers, mirrors, wings, exhaust, headlight buckets, mirrors, tow hooks and radio antennae combine to make the models extremely realistic. Each car has a fully painted and detailed interior, steering wheel, and dashboard. Remember: all of these fantastic recreations are made in limited quantities, once gone they will never be available again.
