The promotional tie-ins are strong, monster truck events have become incredibly popular, events are frequently sold out and crowds of 10,000 to 20,000 are common. On a busy weekend hundreds of people get the chance to ride in the Extreme Team Savage Ride Truck. And, many of the spectators are already into R/C racing, so it's common for many fans to instantly recognize the HPI Savage sponsorship. Promoting the R/C industry at this kind of event attracts attention that all R/C manufacturers and hobby shops can benefit from.
HPI Racing had the Extreme Team Savage Ride Truck on display for the recent RCX Hobby Show in Anaheim, California. Thousands of fans took photos of the truck, climbed on it, and a few lucky people even got rides. While in California, Mac and Liz stopped by the HPI factory and gave rides to the entire HPI staff, rumbling up the driveway of our neighbors at Oakley.
HPI will follow the Savage Ride Truck as it tours in 2004, check www.hpiracing.com frequently to see the latest photos and videos.
