HPI Racing would like to thank Derek Manchester, our race organizer, for gathering a fantastic group of people and getting a wondering location at the 2003 Hot Air Jubilee! Without his help and information the event simply wouldn't have happened.

Nick and Scott from Hobby Hub in Lansing and theRCProShop.com, respectively, came together to provide the background work of providing spare parts for the racers and gathering entries, taking that duty off of Derek's shoulders.

Our race announcer Rich was great the entire weekend, not only making sure we actually started and finished on time, but working with Frank and Andrew to get announcements to the racers and keep the races moving. He was able to keep spectators informed of who was in the lead, call traffic for the leaders of most of the races, provide play-by-play for crashes and wrecks and kept his voice for the whole weekend!

The Jubilee organizers who let Derek set up in a great spot deserve our gracious thanks also. Without them we could have been off in a distant corner of the airfield, however as it turned out we were placed between visitor parking and most of the attractions! Informing the public about R/C racing and HPI kits is what an HPI Challenge weekend is all about, and we had plenty of walk-by spectators during the entire weekend!

Finally, of course we'd like to thank the racers who showed up to brave the weather and join their fellow HPI fans in a weekend of fun racing. Without the racers would have been no show for the spectators and no reason for us to make it to the Hot Air Jubilee. While the long distance award went to the Wooleys from Florida, we had many racers from Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Minnesota, Wisconsin and of course many racers hail from our host state of Michigan!
