Once again I'd like to interject something here -

It must be pointed out that this race would simply not have happened if the good people of Grove City didn't have their Arts in the Alley festival every year. We would have had a race somewhere, but combining it with a local arts festival was a terrific idea, and getting the city leaders involved and supporting the project meant a lot to the participants and HPI as well.

Although we were not able to attend in person, it's easy to see through the pictures and the forum that everyone had a lot of fun and went away pleased, although the events of the week before certainly dampened the spirits of everyone there.

Once again, my profound thanks to everyone who got the ball rolling and made this whole thing happen!

Wait! We forgot...
As the last racer walked away with their trophy, we realized that we forgot to take pictures of the A-Main winners. We called back everyone that was still there, but it was too late for some. With the amount of stuff we had to remember to do throughout the weekend, we forgot one of the most important. Looks like that was the only problem we had.

After the last hand was shook, and the final car left the parking lot, there was a feeling of accomplishment by the CORCAR crew. Not only did the event go well, it went REALLY well. Everyone pitched in. Whether it was a little bit of extra patience from the racers going into tech, to the guy that watched the computer and prizes all night, or the kid that volunteered to marshal at almost every heat. We were proud to have put this race on. Even without the presence of HPI at the race it still went off without a hitch. The next week Bill Stevenson got a call from The City of Grove City. She was so pleased with the way that we handled the event that she invited us to do it again next year!
